Jim Dawson, CLTC

You will never find a man that is more passionate about long term care protection. Over his long career of 20+ years in insurance, he has certainly accumulated many stories over the years that he is always willing to share. His mission is to help American families prepare for retirement and protect their independence and assets. Jim is from LA. You know, lower Alabama. He grew up in NW Florida and graduated from the University of West Florida with a degree in business. He then went back into the US Army and was commissioned as an artillery officer. He spent 20 years on active duty and retired in December, 1992.

He realized that helping families with their financial needs was his calling before he retired from the military and has been licensed in the insurance field ever since. He has received training in senior adviser issues and is certified as a long term care specialist. Jim joined GE Capital Assurance in 1998. He has primarily focused his practice on helping families protect their assets and independence by using insurance products that are designed for this purpose.

Jim is married to his lovely wife Janice and they have 4 children and 12 grandchildren that keep them busy. They are blessed to have three of their children living near them within the state of Washington. When he is not spending time with his family, you won't find him at home because Jim and Janice love to travel to places around the world. They continue to check places around the world off of their bucket list. He enjoys outdoor activities including hiking, golfing, and skiing.

Jim's main focus has been long term care insurance, but has also added Medicare Supplements, life insurance, linked benefits, and annuities to his services. Jim is licensed to sell in OR and WA.
